Low Voltage Sensory Relay Parallel Switch
The VSR (Voltage Sensory Relay) allows two batteries to be charged at the same time and then isolates them form each other when the vehicle is turned off.
The relay stays open, isolating the two batteries when the engine is first started, remaining open until the primary battery has reached a pre-set voltage of 13.3V. The relay then closes, allowing the two batteries to be charged together. When the engine is stopped, the voltage returns to normal levels allowing the relay to remain open again. This separates the two batteries and eliminates the possibility of discharging the primary/starting battery.
